In his capacity as an external international expert for the Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sports of the Republic of Slovakia, Mr. Funk is contributing to research and development initiatives, thereby enhancing his expertise in research management evaluation. Furthermore, he has been selected as one of the individual key experts for the Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content, and Technology (DG CNECT) of the European Commission to investigate critical digital technologies and contribute to the European Union's strategic roadmap for investments in digital deployment, capacity building, and infrastructure development for the forthcoming decade. He is a member of a focus group examining quantum and other emerging technologies. In his role as Trainer at the Digital Learning Hub Luxembourg, he instructs military personnel of the Luxembourgish Armed Forces in subjects such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. He also instructs quantum computing, and other advanced technological fields at the DLH. He serves as a project manager and holds the position of state-accredited Information Technology Trainer by the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth for Adult Education. Mr. Philippe Funk is affiliated with the Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning for Life in Space (AI4LS) GeneLab's Plant active working Group and is an MVP Founding Member of the Quantum Security and Defense Working Group. He is also member of the Luxembourgish Engineering and Scientific association. Additionally, he is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
